APLIKASI PAKAN BUATAN DENGAN KANDUNGAN ASAM LEMAK HEWANI DAN NABATI YANG BERBEDA UNTUK MEMACU PEMATANGAN GONAD KEPITING BAKAU (Scylla serrata) Kasprijo Staf Pengajar Jurusan Perikanan dan Kelautan, Fakultas Sains Teknik Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Purwokerto Diterima 7 Juli 2011; disetujui 9 Oktober 2011 ABSTRACT An experiment was carried out to evaluate the effects of different ratios of animal and plant fatty acid on the gonadal maturation and spawning of mangrove crab, Scylla serrata. Five test diets containing different ratio of essential fatty acid were examined. Diet A,B, C,D and E contained animal and plant oil at ratio of: 3.5:2.5%, 2.5:3.5% 4.5:1.5%, 6.0:0%, and 0:6.0%.The Mangrove crab with an average weight of 315 g, carapace width of 12 cm, and carapace length of 8.5 cm were used for experiment. The experiment was arranged in a block randomized design, using three replicates for each treatment. The crab were fed 3% of biomass, and the experiment was held for 4 weeks. The result of experiment showed that there were significantly different (P<0.05) among diets tested on number of spawned crab but not for gonadal maturation. Feed containing animal and plant oil of 4.5:1.5 % showed faster spawning rate compared to the other feeds, while crab fed with only animal or plant fatty acid at the ratio showed the slowest spawning rate. Keywords: Gonadal maturation, spawning, mangrove crab, essensial fatty acid. 3917 Downloads so far. |
