ABSTRACT

This research was conducted to forcast yellow fin tuna fishing hotspot with study area on south of West Java waters. Method used in this research was observation method with the remote sensing technique using satellite imagery data in the form of sea surface temperature (SST), chlorophyll concentration and sea surface high Anomaly (SSHA). The research result indicated that the peak season of fish arrest be at the east season (July) on geographical position 07o48'-08o56' S and 106o12'-108o46' E. Optimum gyration of oceanography parameters for the fishing of yellow fin tuna are: SST are 24-25oC, klorofil- consentration are 1-1.5 mg/m3 and SSHA are 0-50 cm.
