Omni-Akuatika Peer Review Statement

Omni-Akuatika recognise that peer review process is dedicatedly to ensure good science is published. High standard of Omni-Akuatika scientific journals is depend on our reviewers which have been selected by our Editors board. Hence, all manuscripts are peer reviewed following the procedure outlined below.

Initial evaluation

The handling Editors first evaluate all manuscripts to check the scope and originality of the papers. At this stage, the Editor can reject e manuscript If there are serious scientific flaws found and are outside the aims and scope of the journal. Those that meet the minimum criteria are passed on to experts for review. The timelines for this stage is about 1 weeks of receipt.

Peer Review model

Omni-Akuatika employs single blind review, where the reviewer remains anonymous to the authors throughout the process. In some case, the handling Editor can make an Editorial review (due date for publication timelines)

Selection of Reviewer and timelines

The handling editor will select the potential reviewers that are matched to the paper according to their expertise. The handling editor should find two independent reviewers to evaluate this manuscript or if after 6 weeks or if the Handling Editor didn't find the reviewers, they can alternatively be a solely reviewer and further to make a decision for the acceptance of the manuscript.

Accordingly, the reviewers will obtain a file containing Paper Evaluation Sheet (PES) evaluating whether the manuscript:

  • Is sufficient original
  • Is methodologically sound
  • Has results which are clearly presented and support the conclusions
  • Correctly references previous relevant work

Revision steps report

A decision to accept or reject the manuscript will be sent to the author along with any recommendations made by the reviewers, and may include verbatim comments by the reviewers. The author(s) have two weeks to rebuttal response the reviewer(s) comments.

Editor’s Decision is final

Based on reviewers advises, the Editor will give a final decision for the acceptance or rejection of the article.
