This research conducted from the early of July until the end of Oktober 2012. Between 35 – 45 samples of stomach every month were taken from fisherman. Those samples were storage under freezing condition and brought to Laboratory of Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty, Borneo Tarakan University. The kinds of feed in the stomach were indentified and the amount of each kind of feed were counted. The total samples obtained were 185 fish. Each sample was measured and the results were 35 ± 4.5 cm of body length and 458 ± 25.5 g 0f body weight. The weight of stomach ranged from 15.5 g to 35.5 g. Each month, we found that 35 – 45% of total samples of stomach were empty and 55 – 65% of the samples were full. The amount of food found in the stomach was 55 ± 10.3 % fishes, 23 ± 7.4 % cephalopod, 15 ± 12.6 crustacean, and 7 ± 3.6% unidentified. The most species of animals found as the food of this fish are of Sardenella sp, Anchopis, Decapterus sp, and Meganyciphane sp.
