Diversity and Utilization of Seaweeds in Bayah Beach, Banten

ABSTRACT

Coast Bayah have a diversity of marine biological resources are abundant, one of which is seaweed. The purpose of this study is to explore the types of seaweeds and their utilization by people around the beach Bayah. The method used in this study is to transect quadrant. The results of this study was obtained 31 species of seaweed, which consists of 7 species of green algae, 11 species of brown algae and 13 species of red algae. Diversity index shows the value of 4.340 while the values of uniformity index are 0.465.
